This is the first preset of the Guitar Rig 5 Metal Presets Series and I am going share with you my 1st custom guitar rig metal preset, using the Van 51 amp or simply the 5150 amp. This preset can be used in a mix, as you can see in the video, but to tell you the truth it needed lots of post-process to make it work.

I'm also getting this weird reverb-like sound where I can sort of hear the clean guitar on top or underneath the simulated guitar sound coming from Guitar Rig 5, even though I went to the Control Panel, opened up Line 6 Audio-MIDI Devices, set the signal routing to 'Send Clean Guitar', and turned the monitor level all the way down.

Pink Floyd profiles (+ U2 bonus) – € 25

Where I live, in Mauritius, I play in a Pink Floyd tribute band, with which I’ve had three big gigs. For the two first ones, I used an Axe-Fx. Recently I had another gig where I wanted to use a Kemper powerhead – mainly for portability and monitoring reasons : the powered KPA + remote are easier to carry (I suffer from back pain), and it’s very easy to use a real guitar cabinet with it – after playing with FRFR systems for years, I wanted a more traditional monitoring sound, plus my Atomic CLR weights 23 kg, and the guitar cabinet was provided by the sound system guys (thus, one less thing to carry). So, I converted all my Pink Floyd tones into Kemper format. I arranged them into performances ; there are 19 performances, many of which with 5 rigs.

Update January 2019 : 3 performances added, as my band now plays 5 more songs : Goodbye blue sky, Breathe, The final cut, Have a cigar, Any color you like. Breathe and Any color you like are in the same performance ; Us and them and Any color you like, which are played consecutively as in the album, are also in a single performance (and played just before Brain damage). These 5 new songs are not available as individual rigs but if you need that, they can be exported from the rigs.
